About This Plant

The evergreen Christmas fern is a wonderful addition for bringing color to a garden in the winter months. It grows in fountain-like clumps and does not spread much, if at all, although the clump will grow a bit in size overtime. It has both fertile and infertile fronds with black spores on their undersides. When it sprouts, Christmas fern first comes up from the soil as fuzzy- light green fiddle heads.
