About This Plant

American Pennywort is a small, creeping plant that grows in moist areas such as bogs, swamps, wet woods and other wet areas. It's native range is from Eastern Canada to South Carolina. It is a member of the ginseng family (Araliaceae) and grows tiny tubers. It spreads rapidly via stolons and prefers cooler temperatures.
