About This Plant

Features fragrant flowers in various shades of blue on top of a spike, similar to the hyacinths found at Easter, except this one is native. Its nectar and pollen are attractive to a number of insects. They spread most readily by bulb off-shoots and less frequently by seed. Protect them from nibbling deer and rabbits. It also grows best in soils with high organic matter.
