About This Plant
A woodland native, white snakeroot does well in rich or rocky woodlands and woodland edges. It's also advantageous and will thrive in recently disturbed sites. It produces fluffy clusters of white flowers with a long bloom time that attract many pollinators. White snakeroot is mostly avoided by mammals because of its bitter foliage that contains the potent toxin tremetol.
