About This Plant

Thin-leaved coneflower is considered either a biennial or a short-lived perennial and usually blooms in its second year. However, it reseeds easily and will grow year after year once its established. Its flowers have a dark brown center disc and bright yellow radial petals that provide a cheery pop of color. It grows best in full sun, but can tolerate part sun with some support, as it tends to droop in shadier conditions. It grows best in soils high in organic matter.
