About This Plant

A wetland plant that thrives in marshes, bogs, pond sides and near most any body of water, swamp loosestrife would make a great addition to your rain or water garden. It tolerates shallow standing water as well. It spreads rapidly through cloning and is not recommend for smaller gardens, as it can easily take over in the right conditions.
