About This Plant
According to the USDA Plants database, Rattlesnake master is not native to Pennsylvania, but it is to neighboring Ohio, Maryland, and New Jersey. A three-year study by Penn State Extension showed Rattlesnake master was the third most-visited plant by pollinators. Greenish-white globular clusters top this plant, which looks like it belongs in an arid region. Look closely and you'll see dozens of tiny white flowers that are appealing to small bees, moths and flies.
