About This Plant

The wide leafy foliage and bright berry-like fruits produced by goldenseal make it a very visually appealing perennial. It prefers nutrient rich soil in forested habitats and can form large colonies over time. Each goldenseal plant produces only one flower. The flower is composed completely of greenish-white pistils and stamens and has no petals.
