About This Plant

Bayberry is an attractive, dense shrub that produces fragrant berries and foliage. It's best planted in groups as hedges or for screening, and can also be planted on slopes to help control erosion. It is very adaptable to a variety of conditions, and will grow along roadsides, in sandy soils, and even slightly salty environments. In optimum conditions, it will spread easily but can be pruned.
