About This Plant
With the potential to form large colonies in ideal locations, this bulbous plant likes acidic, sandy-loam soils and can tolerate well-drained clay soils. Small pink-purple, bell-shaped flowers usually bloom in May with clover-like leaves. It often flowers twice, once in late spring, and again in the fall after its leaves have died.
