About This Plant

Riverbank Wild Rye is a cool weather grass that likes to grow along riverbanks and other wet, riparian areas. It is commonly used in streambank restoration and can help control erosion. It has dark to lighter green foliage and an occaisonally reddish stem that sprouts a fluffly, nodding seed head.
