While its greenish/yellow tassel-like flowers bloom in early spring, its delicate foliage persists through the fall. It's a great shade plant to take the place of spring ephemerals.
It is best to plant Early Meadow Rue in groups since seed production is dependent on wind pollination, though it will also spread very slowly through its rhizomes
