About This Plant
This monarda blooms earlier and is shorter, less aggressive, and more resistant to powdery mildew than other monarda species. It's a great addition to home landscapes, as pollinators and birds love it and it is deer resistant. It has the classic square stem of the mint family and aromatic leaves. Bradbury's monarda is not technically listed as native to Pennsylvania, but it is found in ecoregions in Virginia, Kentucky, and the Mid-West that are also present in PA.
