About This Plant

A lesser-known native plant, bunch flower can be a lovely addition to home landscapes. It would do well in a sunny rain garden, as it likes consistently rich, moist soil. As the white flowers age, they turn green, then maroon, and then nearly black, adding winter interest to your garden. It is long-lived. It may also be known as Virginia bunchflower and Veratrum virginicum (which was once its Latin name).
