About This Plant

Showy, yellow flowers bloom on 6-inch upright panicles, while the leaves turn bright yellow in the fall, making this an attractive tree for homes and gardens. The buckeye was once carried as a good luck charm, and the nut is eaten by wildlife. This is a medium fast growing tree and prefers acidic, moist, well-drained soil.
