About This Plant

White Cedar is an evergreen in the cypress family that prefers moist, acidic soils and full sun. It can often be found growing in coastal regions and along streams, bogs and other wet sites. Its leaves are scaley needles and its bark is an attractive, reddish-brown that is fibrous and peeling. It produces seed-bearing cones.
