About This Plant

Oaks are by far the best tree you can plant for wildlife, from the smallest insect to big black bears. Swamp white oak is a faster growing oak and prefers moist habitats, but can tolerate urban areas – think street trees – and drought conditions. Leaves are a dark, glossy green on top and silvery-white underneath. Best growth is in sunny locations.
