About This Plant

Although its flowers are small and non-showy, Strawberry Bush puts on quite a display with its brightly colored seed capsules and autumn foliage. It is able to grow in a variety of soil conditions, and may sprawl a bit when its young. As it matures, it tends to straighten out and can grow to about 6 feet in height. It is an important food source to mammals, songbirds, and larger foraging birds like turkey.
