Beloved by people, birds, and mammals, mulberries make delicious jelly, jam, juice and even wine! This is a fast growing hardwood tree that prefers warm, well drained soil, but is adaptable to many soil conditions. It grows nearly as wide as it does tall, so be mindful where you plant it. It is shade tolerant, but produces more berries in full sun. Trees need to be 4-10 years old before they will fruit.
