Cream Violet is an herbaceous wildflower that prefers moist soils and part sun or shade. It can be found growing in low woodlands, wet meadows, ditches and woodland borders in the wild, and spreads slowly to form a ground cover. Its white blooms differ from other violets not only in color, but in its "bearded" lateral petals as well. Cream Violet readily self seeds, and does not spread by rhizome.
