Pasture Rose produces bright pink blooms, flowering best in full sun. It grows up to 5 feet tall and spreads via suckering, but can be pruned in late winter or early spring. After blooming, flowers mature into red rose hips which are eaten by many animals like songbirds, wild turkeys and small mammals.
The rose hips are edible to humans and can be made into teas, jellies, syrups and more. | Care should be taken when handling Pasture Rose to avoid the prickles that grow on its stems.
