About This Plant

Black chokeberry produces deep purple/blue, tart, bitter berry-like drupes that animals will eat. Pretty white flowers with pink stamens attract pollinators in the spring, and its green foliage turns red before dropping in the fall. It does well in full sun or part shade and can be used as a border as it spreads freely by producing a lot of suckers.
